Don't Forget: You Are a Reason For Your Success
When you ask people why they are successful, many people will point to external reasons: school, family, mentors, role models. Those are all praiseworthy reasons for success but I would contend that there is another reason for your success: You!
You might think this is obvious, but I have noticed that many people don’t give themselves enough credit for their success. It’s nice to be humble and to praise others when they help you but if you don’t take care of yourself you can start to run into symptoms of burnout.
It’s not just about pampering yourself. It's also about being realistic about the problems you can solve yourself and how much work you can personally do. As much as you might like to, you can’t solve every problem on your own. Focusing on just the problems you can solve right now and letting go of the others will allow you to keep yourself fresh and let you do more in the future.
